Amy obtained her law degree from the University of Hull in 2008, graduating with upper second class honours. She then obtained her Certificate of Legal Practice in 2009 and was subsequently admitted to practice in the High Court of Malaya in 2010. She was made a partner of the firm in 2018.
She practices exclusively in Intellectual Property and Information Technology. Her area of expertise includes general advisory, prosecution and litigation work relating to trade marks, patents and industrial designs as well as general commercial transactions such as franchising for both local and international clients. Amy is also a member of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA) and the Malaysian Intellectual Property Association (MIPA).
