Shook Lin & Bok advise successful applicant for P2P financing platform operator licence
The Securities Commission announced on 3.11.2016 the awarding of licenses to six registered peer-to-peer (P2P) financing platform operators to widen funding avenues for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).This makes Malaysia the first country in the ASEAN region to regulate P2P financing.
Ms Karen Kaur, a Partner in our Corporate Department together with her team, assisted Peoplender Sdn. Bhd., one of the six successful operators, in its bid to secure the P2P licence.
