3rd MIArb Annual Law Review
On 19 May 2016, the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators (MIArb) hosted its 3rd Annual Law Review. The Annual Law Review this year was extended to a half-day event which featured leading practitioners, including the firm’s Mr. Lam Ko Luen (Immediate Past President MIArb) and Mr. Sudharsanan Thillainathan (Deputy President, MIArb), who led in-depth discussions on recent cases in arbitration and adjudication in 2015.
The Honourable Dato’ Mary Lim JCA delivered the keynote address. There were three distinct sessions for this Review which included a discussion each on the goings-on and recent Court decisions relating to arbitration and adjudication. The event also featured a thought provoking discussion on the “Future of Arbitration in Malaysia”.
The event drew 92 participants and ended with a cocktail reception to celebrate the move/opening of MIArb’s Secretariat Office at Bangunan Sulaiman.
