Bonds and Sukuk Trustee Forum 2024
The Securities Commission of Malaysia and the Association of Trust Companies Malaysia jointly organised the annual Bonds and Sukuk Trustee Forum on 1.8.2024.
The theme for the 2024 Forum was “Future-Proofing Bond Trusteeship: Integrating Sustainability and Digitalisation for Resilient Financial Markets”.
Our Partners, Ms Hoh Kiat Ching and Mr Poh Choo Hoe, were honoured by another invitation to participate in this year’s forum.
Kiat Ching spoke on SRI Funding, covering SRI Sukuk and SRI-linked Sukuk, whilst Choo Hoe joined a panel discussion on Sustainability and ESG Integration.
A key takeaway is that access to the capital market has taken a paradigm shift in that SRI principles and digitalisation are equally important considerations in relation to the structuring and thereafter subscription of bonds and sukuk.
