Overview

Victoria joined the firm as an Associate in 2008 and became a Partner in 2016.

Her practice areas are building, construction and engineering, arbitration, and general litigation. She has a diverse portfolio of experience in dispute resolution, having appeared as counsel in court, arbitration, commission of enquiry, and adjudication proceedings under the Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act 2012 (CIPAA). She regularly advises on matters relating to her practice areas.

Victoria is ranked as a “Future Star” by Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific from 2018 – 2023 in the practice areas of Construction, and Commercial and Transactions. She is ranked by Chambers & Partners Asia-Pacific Guides 2023 and 2024 in the practice areas of “Dispute Resolution: Construction” and “Construction” respectively.

Alongside legal practice, Victoria is a member of the panels of adjudicators, arbitrators, and mediators of the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC). She is also a member of the panel of accredited mediators of the Malaysian International Mediation Centre (MIMC). She holds fellowships of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and the Malaysian institute of Arbitrators (MIArb).

Victoria also speaks and writes on subjects relating to her practice areas. She contributed to the chapter on Anti-Suit Injunctions in “Law and Practice of Injunctions in Malaysia” (Sweet & Maxwell 2020) and to the Malaysian chapter on Construction Law 2022, part of the Chambers Global Practice Guides. She lectures on an ad hoc basis on the Diploma in International Arbitration Course (Brickfields Asia College (BAC) in collaboration with the MIArb).
