Our firm is honored to receive Professor Dr. Adolf Peter for a visit to our firm and to deliver a talk entitled “ESG-related Contractual Cascading and the Impact of ESG/Climate-related EU Legislation on Non-EU-Entities Involved in EU-related Supply Chains”.
Our Managing Partner, Michael C.M. Soo delivered the opening address, and the session was moderated by our partner, Wendy Lee Wan Chieh.
We were given the opportunity to hear about the various ESG-related codes of conduct, the scope and impact of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive on non-EU entities and to explore case studies highlighting the implication of failures to comply with ethical business practices and applicable laws and regulations.
Also in attendance during the talk were our partners Jal Othman, Lam Ko Luen, Ng Hooi Huang, Nina Lai, Hoo Yee Huan and a number of our senior associates, associates and pupils.
