Overview
Gian Chung (“GC”) is a litigator with extensive experience since his admission to the Bar over 22 years ago. GC is the Deputy Head of our highly regarded Banking & Finance Litigation practice group. He also heads our Technology + Multimedia + Telecommunications (TMT) law practice group which has consistently been recommended by Asialaw profiles, a guide to Asia Pacific’s leading regional and domestic law firms.
GC has wide experience in diverse types of legal disputes, spanning banking and finance litigation, corporate insolvencies, bankruptcies, strata management, online defamation, spear phishing related fraudulent transactions, land fraud, commercial contracts, commercial and residential tenancies, land acquisition, trespass, nuisance and negligence.
GC advises, acts for and also defends a multitude of local and foreign commercial banks, investment banks, accounting firms, joint management bodies, management corporations, a local gaming conglomerate, the local communications and multimedia regulator, the national urban rail network operator, a vernacular publishing conglomerate and the local multimedia economic development authority.
A member of the Inter Pacific Bar Association, he frequently delivers public talks, presentations and training sessions on, among others, banking and finance litigation, corporate insolvency, bankruptcy, TMT and privacy law related topics.
